CLASSIFICATION OF COMPANY LIFE CYCLE STAGES: AN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Company life cycle models have been the focus of researchers’ attention for decades, resulting in numerous definitions and determination stages. Managers are striving to make appropriate strategic decisions at right time maximize opportunities linked various Assessing a company’s determining stage allows us predict future development prevent crises or even early termination. In recent years, there has increased interest assessment products. However, as corporate is longer than that product, it still definitely deserves – mainly field quantitative criteria. The aim this paper propose variables determine following two requirements: (1) derived from publicly available financial statements; (2) classification method suitable large sample size including non-listed companies stock exchange. Our study shows our three (capital expenditures, return on equity, sales growth) each firm-year under condition several steps: counting industry quintiles and/or definition boundaries, score assignment stages, designing composite selection.
